Remember that your children are the focus of the custody case

Your children are likely one of the main focuses that you have in your life. As unpleasant as it is, you will have to think about not having them around all the time if you are divorcing their other parent. Child custody cases are often difficult for parents to cope with, but they can be a real nightmare for the children.

There are several things that you need to plan for if you are in the midst of a child custody battle. First, remember that the case is about your children, not you. There isn't a place for either parent to try to use the children as a way to get back at the other parent. Instead, the best interests of the children must be considered.

We understand that there are some points that you might not be prepared to deal with; however, your child custody case can't be resolved without taking care of everything. You and your ex need to come up with a schedule for the children. This includes holidays and other special days.

Another thing that you have to think about is how you are going to handle the child exchange. This is often a difficult thing for the children to deal with. It is important for you to have consistency in this so that your children can get used to the new way of doing things.

We realize that you might need some help to think about ways to resolve the issues. Coming up with creative solutions is sometimes necessary. We are here to help you do what it takes to get your case resolved.
